Why is it that people are brought up and told to beleive in something because thats the way its always been.
People of one country or religious faith are told to beleive that these other people are their enemy and that they should be hated or killed?
But yet they cannot explain why the people should be hated or killed, beyond the normal excuse of thats the way it has always been.

Because it appeals to emotion.

If you listen to arguments for religion, they almost entirely contain appeals to emotion, especially those appeals to emotion that play on human insecurities. This is highly effective because humans have been emotional animals far longer than rational ones.

YOUR a dumb ***. We have a choice of religion alot of kids worship who they want. I bring my son up not because of " That's the way it has always been" I do it because that is what i believe and when he gets older he can make the choices. It isnt brain washing religon has alwas been apart of the world but nobody worships any body becuse thats the way its alwas has been.

If thats the case then the pilagrem would have came to AMERICA to do there own religion. Becuse they would have worshiped who and how the laws say. "Becuse thats the Way it alwasy been" is bull **** we came over here becuse we wanted a change from the way its always been. U need to think about what u are saying

People in general look for some reason for their existence. Religions give reasons to them, and for the most part, they are satisfied. We are such good "sheeple" in this way. Don't think as to why, just go along with the flow, so to speak.
Now there are those people who "think" and begin asking questions as to why. Some of those people will succumb to family pressures that shut them up. Others will succumb to their religious leaders that don't agree with them and threaten to ostracize them. Others will not let them be intimidated and will go and seek more information. Remember the saying of Jesus, " the truth will set you free." Even he knew to question the religious leaders of his day. This of course got him in a lot of trouble too.
As for brain washing, I don't believe this extreme technique is being done, but the major religions have used their teachings to convince the masses to go to war or rebellion in the past. They've also convinced the masses to be submissive to whatever political climate that's in charge. They do have a lot of sway for the most part, but only to those that do not wish to think.
Seek more information from alternative sources and your eyes may truly be open. As for the Bible, it actually has a lot of good information on how to conduct our lives and get along. If you read it, you'll be pleasantly surprised and shocked as how the Bible differs from the teachings of major religions. Then you can go from there.

No, it is not. suggestions washing means that the suggestions washer hasn't already been suggestions washed. The suggestions washer frequently is cognizant of the bigger photograph, i think of. yet in faith, the main uncomplicated indoctrinators are mum and dad, and that they are people who instruct their toddlers the appropriate same element they have been taught while they have been little. they don't intend on "suggestions washing" their toddlers. they do exactly not comprehend that by using indoctrinating their toddlers, they are final up those minds swifter than you are able to say "The 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse".

Is it? And i thought that TV and Newspapers are the best Brain washers.
True religion teaches, one to serve and love God and all his creation. Though there are certain cases where killing is allowed as exception to protect oneself.
But those whose business is simply to Fight will continue to get some excuse to Fight and Kill. Either Religion or No Religion it does not matter for them.
We have to understand that its people who kill and not religion. Just as, its Lawyers who find loop holes in Law, but for that the Law or Government cannot be blamed. Lawyers are meant to protect the Law and Justice. But most of them are engaged in protecting their Bank balance only.

It is not due to religions. It is the fascism. Fascists can use any kind of propaganda to convince people. Brain washing is happening in the US by using the concept of "freedom", not only religion. They kill people for what? For freedom.

It does more than appeal to emotion. It gives eternal life. It solves all of life's questions. It justifies all of life's difficulties. It's no wonder that if someone threatens it, either directly or by a contrary belief, that people would react violently.
