Get a DOG. the longer you live with a cat, the more likely you will become allergic to it's saliva, dander and general shedding. A dog is loyal and friendly if shown love from day 1 until the day it dies. You don't really "own" a cat, one just allows you to keep it in the house. Sure they're friendly sometimes, but more often than not their better-than-thou attitudes make you wish you had something better to do than scoop their dirty litter. Having a cat is a chore, having a dog is a joy. Cats are temperamental, if you change your living room around, or some other area they exist in, they will show their "appreciation" by leaving you a nice present in an appropriate place, like your shoe, or on your table.

Well, you have to look at the pros and cons of having both of them. With a dog they can protect you and they bark when someone comes in the house and they are great pals but most of them are always in the way while you are trying to move around and you have to get a cage for when you are not there. Cats are nice because they really dont take up alot of room and they arent so noisy to where you cant fall asleep and stuff like that, but...you have to have a litter box which can get messy and it smells bad and they tend to shed alot. I have a Pit Bull/Black Lab Mix and I LOVE HER to death, but no doubt she does have her down falls. Good luck choosing, it was easy for me.

Hey, before you get a pet ask yourself some questions first. Like how much time do I have for taking care of my new pet? What kind of resources do I have for it's medical needs? How much money will it cost to get healthy foods for my new pet? For me, the answer to the time question is most important. If you are gone all day then get a cat. They do not need to be pot tied outdoors and they seem to be happy all by themselves. Where a dog needs someone to take them out and walk and potty and interact with them all day long!
A cat you can leave home by itself overnight, a dog, no way!
Hope this helps in your decision making.

Get a cute little lap dog like a Pomeranian. Cats are a PAIN in the REAR, so are big dogs. Small dogs are right in between WAY better to live with!!

completely screwed up thought of cats. i admire em to bits. the countless cats I even have had have been much extra affectionate that dogs. they don't desire 3 walks an afternoon, they don't fee lots to feed. They purr whilst they are pleased with you. you are able to %. em up at placed on em on yer head. They understand what you're thinking. they are Majestic and independant beings. they are the your spirit instruction manual. they don't roll in shet They wash themselves. they're going to rid your outdoor of any vermin. They dont watch you each and every circulate whilst your eating. they are lots much less annoying to maintain. they are lots relaxing around a ball of wool. They do the funniest issues whilst bored. each and every cat has it is very own character in case you make an effort to care. they are miniture Lions, tigers, patthers. they are eye-catching. i admire cats

You should get a cat. We have a black lab and every time he gets a little bit excited he pees a little. I saw him do this on my favorite outdoor swing and never sat on it again. GROSS. Good luck with which ever you choose.

Hi Spider, If you want a pet that is always with you,and loves to be with you,you need to get a dog.Cats have a mind of their own.If they want to go off for a few days they do.They come back when they feel like it.So,if you like a animal who is always there,a dog is your answer.

You should get a dog like mine. I have a 4 year old Bearded Collie and he is a constant source of entertainment. They are great dogs.

Well, I've had both, and I say they are both great...but it mostly depends on you...dogs take a lot more time cause you have to train them...and they take more care, but they are way loyal to you for the rest of their lives. A cat doesn't take as much time, and will adjust herself to the house, or outside fine, and you won't have neibors complaining if she doesn't know her comands well. lol as everybody knows you can't really teach them commands, but yeah, they arent' as loyal, and you can't do as much with them. So its pretty much your choice. Check your time schedule...
