I'm right there with you- except i never get a pretty glow in summer either- for me it's burn peel then go all white again.. Try using Jergins lotion with color enhancer (i cant remember the exact name) i use the medium and it doesnt give me the orange look... light will work too but it takes a little longer to develop. Also when putting on any self tanner allow yourself to air dry for 10-15 mins before putting on your clothes- also make sure to wash you hands AND wrists after applying

One thing you can try is applying the self-tanner in the evenings. Give it a good half hour or so to dry the put on a loose nightie or long t-shirt, whatever you are comfortable wearing and one that you wouldn't mind getting a stain on in case it doesn't wash out. First thing in the morning, rinse off with a warm shower, lightly soaping. Looks more natural once you've rinsed off any excess.

The tan doesn't stay so you might have to reapply once a week or so.

I had tried a foam and a lotion and pretty much had the same results.

I totally understand you, I'm facing the same problem and I hate the way those self tanners smell and stain! What I recommend and do myself is, buy the Sally Hansen Airbrush Leg Make-up. This works wonderfully, I use it everywhere not just my legs! You simply spray it on and it looks natural and flawless, but you must let it dry or it might stain your clothes. I usually get dressed first and only spray it on the parts of my body that are exposed like my arms, legs and shoulders and it gives the impression of an awesome tan. Good Luck!

Don't do it! Unless you use really good, really expensive self tan, it will be a mess. I know I was ORANGE for 7 days before the last of it came off with major scrubbing! Not a good bet, just go with the flow, everyone loses their tan in winter!

Don't do it....self tanners are so noticeable. If you are that worried about becoming Snow White during the winter, just go to the tanning bed a few times a week to keep a healthy glow until summer.

I use a self tanner you buy at Walmart called Ocean Potion Ever Glow. It is a daily moisturizer with a gentle skin darkener in it. I put it on after every shower and it works great. I use it year round. Hope this helps. Good luck.

You can also try Arbonne's Made In The Shade, Self Tanner.
It's a SPF 15, botanically-based self-tanner. It's blended with avocado oil, arnica, chamomile, linden and rosemary extracts, works great for all skin types and provides natural-looking color that lasts for days.

go to a tanning bed. You then do not have to worry about it. You could go tanning there once a week to keep your tan or even more if you would like to. There is a tanning place here that charged per tanning session or per month as many tans as you would like. I pay per month jusy 19.99........You buy the indoor tanning bronzer. the triple bronzer is the best.
