North Broward Hospital District Takes Lead in South Florida Medicaid Reform Education to Providers and Community
Broward County, FL -- As Florida moves closer to implementing wide-sweeping reform measures to improve access to affordable, quality health care, leaders at the North Broward Hospital District are on the front lines at home and in Tallahassee.
Paul Sallarulo, chairman of the North Broward Hospital District Board of Commissioners, and Joe Rogers, the District’s senior vice president of business development and managed care, both sit on the state’s Technical Advisory Panel for Medicaid reform.
The Panel is a source of advice for the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) as the State moves forward to implement Florida’s groundbreaking reform plan in Broward and Duval counties on July 1, 2006. The Panel was created by the Florida Legislature to advise AHCA on various implementation issues such as risk-adjusted rates, benefits plans and the choice counseling system.
Closer to home, the North Broward Hospital District officials are working to educate physicians, health care workers and the community about the South Florida Community Care Network (SFCCN), the state’s original Medicaid Provider Service Network.

Contact your state's medicaid office. (in florida it may have a different name than medicaid) They should have a list of providers for you. You could also try medicaid's website.
