I have potatoes, butter, garlic and 1 hour...

peel potatos
cut in 1/4 long ways
slice in 1/4 to 1/8 inch slices
put in frying pan with water just over potatos
simmer till potato soften
drain water
add 1/2 stick butter and simmer
dice garlic and sprinkle on top
if you have time bake in oven after adding garlic for about 20 minuts at 300
if not just cook in pan

Bake the potatoes, melt the butter, saute the garlic in the butter. Use the garlic butter as flavouring for the potatoes.

You could do a similar thing by wedging the potatoes and adding the garlic butter to that.

Wash and cut up the potatoes and boil. Leave the skins on...no time, plus it's good. Melt the butter in a pan with minced garlic, on low. When the taters are done, toss them in a bowl after draining and add the garlic butter, and some salt and pepper (preferably white pepper). Mash and beat together. Voila! Easy masheds!

Too simple! lol..

Peel/cook potatoes til done...about 30 minutes. *cube the potatoes in small pieces for faster cooking*
Whip with a mixer or use a potatoe masher/whisk.
Add in garlic/butter/little milk...
Wala...Garlic Mashed Potatoes.

OR....

Slice potatoes thin...put in a baking dish.
Slice or mash garlic and add.
Place butter on above..
Add a bit of liquid *milk is good* to keep from sticking to pan.
Cover with foil...
Bake at 375* for one hour.

Peel potatoes, cover in butter, sprinkle on garlic, stick in microwave until done. Works best if you throw some onions in too.

Oven 375F.
Butter oven dish. Layer very thinly sliced potatoes, sprinkle chopped garlic and season with salt, pepper and flour.
Pour milk/cream on top - or bouillon, and bake 45 minutes.

Cook the potaoes in boiling water,with or without the skins. Add salt,butter, milk and garlic to taste and smash them--keep the warm in the oven -they reheat well too.
