If Ragnarok has not happened why do some books discuss it as having happened or is that just Odin's ability to see the future that is written down? Also, if only 2 humans survive then couldn't we be the decendants of those 2 humans?

because in some books have you noticed when the Twilight of the Gods came and the final battle took place how easy it would be to conclude the Old Gods gave way so Christianity could replace the Old Belief System.

That was Odin's prophecy. He gave up his eye for divine wisdom, and inclusive in that was the sight of Ragnarok. Ragnarok has not yet happened.

Odhinn sacrificed himself and his left eye for wisdom and prophecy. It is perfectly allowable that the books which describe the events after ragnarok are prophetic and not past events.

The existence of the sun alone is sufficient to prove Ragnarok has not occured.
