Looks like everybody was attracted
to your "gross" question, doesn't it!

I was just going to say that all the
'rage' is colon cleansers, now.
EVERYBODY is doing the colon
cleanse. And one of the main
topics of conversation is what
each others bowel movement
looks like.

On television it is 'what the
healthy bowel movement looks
like.' (which, the last I heard
was the consistency of toothpaste
and the color of a walnut)

It was even one of the shows
that Oprah had. They did an oral
audience survey - what does your
poop look like. How often do you go.
Everything you always wanted to
know.....

So you are right in style!
Don't sweat it.

If you have a healthy diet and a healthy digestive tract, having a bowel movement shouldn't take a lot of time nor should it cause straining. It sounds like you're healthier than most and taking good care of yourself and you have nothing to be concerned about. Going a lot all at once and quickly (provided it's solid) is a sign you eat a lot of fiber and have good peristalsis.

Ok...there are whole sciences based on what we blop in the bowl. SO you curiosity is a good thing. Good turds shoud be solid, floating, not liquid...if it happens quickly that's fine, spending too long sitting and pushing will give you Hemmorohoids (no S**t). So keep up the good work!

people who have good levels of hydration go more frequently to the loo than others,
the reason is quite simple, the body removes the liquid from the food you eat as it travels through the small and large intestines, people who do not take enough fluids on board need more fluid to be removed by the body, and the more fluid removed from your stools the harder they become, the harder they become the more unflexible they become and take longer to travel through the intestines, people with good diet and fluid intake do not need this as much and the the stool remains moist flexible and can race round the intestines,
it is normal but always check your stools for any unusual deposists such as blood as this can be a excellent early diagnosis tool of something wrong within the digestive track..
thanks

No, you take as long as you need to when having a bowel movement.
Most of the rest of the time is spent 'relaxing' on the toilet, for those who take 15 min or so. (They are probably reading a magazine).
Don't worry about it. You are fine.

it's good that you go, and it comes out easy. The more fluids you drink and the more fiber you have in your system, the easier it is for it to come out. People who are active also tend to go alot easier. You should be more concerned if you had a hard time going. I am the same way, it hits me and in and out of the bathroom I go.
