Open up a tall can of baked beans, add one pound of cooked hamburger meat, 1/4 cup of brown sugar and a tablespoon of mustard. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. GREAT side dish!

What is "pulled" pork? Beans are always a good side dish for pork.

A good but nonsweet coleslaw. Try this:
1/2 cabbage, shredded
1/2 cup mayonaise
1 Tbs vinegar or lemon juice, i like lemon
1 tsp. hot sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbs. caraway seeds.
1/2 tsp. pepper, white if you have it

Mix last 6 ingredients then add to the cabbage. Up the mayonnaise if you like it, then chill for one hour. Please, no rolls or biscuits, you must use hamburger buns for the authentic taste. Baked beans or drunken apples work well for other sides.

Mashed or fried sweet potatoes.
Same with yams.
both go well with a jicama slaw.
Also, be the first on your block to serve fried yuca chips.
