Hi! I certainly understand and know how obsessed you can get about a possible pregnancy. Been There six times! So, do you know exactly when you ovulated?(almost always day 14 in a normal cycle 28 days beginning day 1 of your period) If you ovulated more than 24hrs prior to having sex, then it is really unlikely that you are. However, sperm cells can live for up to 72hr after the fact,so if you had sex up to three days before ovulation, then you could be.. In terms of testing an entire wk before your due, then yes the test could definitely be wrong.(especially over the counter) If you have one of those ultra sensitve ones done in a drs. office, the hcg hormone can be detected around 5 days or so after conception. I wish I could ease your mind --the wait is tough! otc tests are extemely accurate, but must be performed correctly and only starting the 1st day of your due period. So, If you can't bear to wait, I would suggest going to a clinic or Dr.s office.I'll pray for you and it won't be long before you know for sure! God bless! Love, Mamma Cindy

You might of taken the test too early so I would wait a week then test again. If still negative and no period then test again every 2-3 days. If 2 weeks have passed and still no positive or period I would suggest getting to a gyno as something else could be wrongâ¥

Your better off safe than sorry and wouldn't you feel better knowing for sure instead of wondering. At home prego test are not 100% accurate. It's up to you ultimately but my suggestion is see the doc at least you won't be in the gray anymore

The tests you get at the drug store are very accurate these days, but there is still a small chance they can be incorrect. I wouldn't go by the pains, they could just be from nerves with your boy telling you what state your body is in.

u should never believe the tests they might be wrong it can happen to a lot of girls. so u shouldn't worry about the negative as the answer. It might be right but u never can tell.

It is possible. It's too soon to tell, though.
False negatives are common. False positives are not.
If you still don't get your period in a few weeks, take another test.

First of all, you need to take charge of your body by not getting yourself pregnant until your ready. If the test said negative then it probably is correct.

I would suggest taking another test. If it is still negative, but you are not totally satisfied, go to a sexual health clinic. If you are from Canada, this is free.
