That the Islamic Ottoman Empire can be directly attributed as a spreader of Protestant Christianity. As it turns out, they were filtering money to the Calvinists to keep Europe off balance. Ironic isn't it.

Also, the Catholic church was given Vatican City and autonomy as a separate country in exchange for not taking sides in WW2. Guess the pope did not care who was right or wrong as long as he got something out of it for himself.
