Athesists...will you give us the machine that you used to travel all over the entire universe and found it totally void of inhabitants ? You are super heros! You have been everywhere to all planets and solar systems and found there is no God or person or even angels! Or is it a serum ? An Xray vision ? End our pitiful space program and show us the means you used to examine the invisible realms and found it totally void.....ahhhhh noones listening..we are all doomed to each other and MTV...You guys are being selfish...show us your space ship you used to search all the galaxies... you know everything! BTW Why do you need xrays when youre broken ? Or blood tests when ur sick ? is this a sly ploy to keep us thinking you dont have this super machine ? I know you just look at ur bodies and know exactly whats going on inside...you dont need those medical thingies ..WE THOUGH HAVE SEEN OUR GOD.HES PROVEN HES REAL..WE HAVE BILLIONS OF MIRACLES...DOCUMENTED... I SAW JESUS..WE DONT NEED MACHINES

You don't need my machine. All you need to do is use the same machine you already own that allows you to search the entire universe and conclude all the gods you reject don't exist.

Annie, no need to shout. I've seen the documentation of miracles, and I do not find in the least compelling. Did you know that fairies are well documented? Do you believe in them?

We've never seen anyone turn a tennis ball inside out without cutting it either, and we can't visit every place in the universe at every moment in the history of the universe, so how do we know that it's never happened?

Logic, that's how. We don't *have* to look everywhere, because we *know* that it's impossible.

Similarly for a god - We don't *have* to look for gods everywhere in the universe in order to prove they don't exist. We just need logic.

All reasoned arguments rely on axioms, i.e. things which we take to be true, but which are not amenable to proof. The most obvious example of an axiom is the validity of reason itself - It is trivially obvious that we can't use a reasoned argument to prove that reason is valid, because we have to presume that reason is valid in order to make any kind of reasoned argument.

I have another axiom, which I'm sure no sane person would dispute: That the order and complexity that we see around us in the natural universe, and particularly in the intricate structure and functions of living organisms, could not possibly just exist fully formed, with no cause, no origin, no precursor of any sort. I can't *prove* that this is the case, but it seems inconceivable to me that anyone would dispute it.

So, the logical consequence of accepting this axiom is that, for the very same reason, it's not possible that the order and complexity of the universe is sourced in an intelligent deity who designed and made the universe and *himself* exists fully formed with no cause, no origin, no precursor of any sort. I don't think any reasonable person would dispute the axiom presented here, and acceptance of the axiom leads to an indisputable proof of the non-existence of an intelligent creator.

Anyone who (against all reason) asserted that the order and complexity we see in the universe *could* exist fully formed with no cause and no origin, in order thereby to save the concept of an uncaused intelligent designer, would find that they had invalidated said designer by making him redundant - i.e. if the order and complexity of the universe could just exist fully formed and uncaused then it would not need (in fact, could not possibly have) a designer to cause it to exist.

Either way, the concept of a creator is invalidated.

How about this, you convince god to let us see him and talk to him? Then get him to show us the so-called miracles are real.

It's quite amazing that you have the ability to know an omnipotent and ominitient being and know everything just because some book told you it's fact.

You don't have miracles buddy, just things you believe miracles. Belief doesn't make fact, it only makes belief.

It's kind of like this. I'm not saying I know everything. But if I was the jury and the Christians sued the Atheists, based on the evidence I've seen so far, I'd have to say you guys didn't prove your case. So the atheists get a walk. If you have something else rocket it my way and I'll take a peak.

While I would love to eat lunch off of your stomach, I fear you are so misguided it is HILARIOUS!

Actually, Atheists will be the ones who would agree that there has to be life outside our solar system - the sheer size of the universe states that this is a likely thing... So youre wrong in thinking that we have traveled to distance places and discovered none of it holds any life.

And, fact remains that you have ZERO proof of your God, other than your own silly FAITH, which is beleif without proof. If you sincerely had proof of God's existence, dont you think that none of the current wars would be ongoing? No one would be fighting - we would already know Christians were right and all others were wrong. But thats not the case.....cuz your God doesnt exist.

In branding them as ignorant you expose your own ignorance to the world... how can you rage at the fact that someone denies your religion then turn around and blatantly profess that all other faiths are false because your god is the "one true god"? A bit hypocritical, I think...

If you have proof, then produce it. From where I sit, I see nothing but allegorical stories.

And we don't have to zip around the universe and find him. The correct logical default, pending proof, is the negative assumption.

Until you can prove there is a god, the correct logical default is that there is not one.

By your logic, there could be thousands or billions of gods. So now what? Have you traveled there to show there aren't?

Every religion has proof. Hindus pray to krishna and get healed, muslims pray to allah and successfully blow up little children, people have visions of their own gods, demons, sprites, etc... What does that prove?

"WE HAVE BILLIONS OF MIRACLES...DOCUMENTED"

Like what?

I read a figure on Wikipedia this morning that says that, in the history of human civilization, as many as 650,000,000 people in all have died from wars, battles, etc. I'm not concerned with the miracles; I want God to explain that.
