They don't want the corpse to catch an infection.

Maybe to be ironic lol. Also you have to think what would the alternative be? Going down to the local methadone clinic and grabbing a used one? Not to mention keeping everything safe for the doctor who carries out the lethal injection there is always the chance of getting stuck accidentally. Having said all that its still kinda funny.

Because blood can clot on a needle and block it off. Also bacteria can interfere with the action of the lethal injection, which can also cause more pain, or prevent it from working.

I don't kno why. It is not like there going to be worried about being infected from a bad needle. Good question but sorry I coudn't help.

all hypodemic needles come packaged and pre-sterilized, i guess they could save money by just re-using the needles until they get too dull to penetrate the skin and vein, but that's not the way they do it....Oh, and I know that your question is "tongue in cheek" I've heard it before on comedy shows...lol

because even the lethal injection is administered by a qualified docter, and no docter will ever use any unsterilsed syringe or needle.IT IS AN HABBIT.

It is a medical standard practiced whenever an injection is administered. Protocol, that's all.

Here's a better question.

Why does this question have to be asked 1,000,000 times?
