I'm hispanic, and I believe something needs to be done, even if it means building a fence. That way people will stop blaming EVERY little problem on illegal immigrants, and certain criminal element of illegals will stop embarrassing legal hispanics with their horrible behavior. That said, I still believe pressure on the Mexican government is the best solution.

The fence is not enough.... and will be a total waste of money and labor....
A 5 year prison term, no parole, along with a $250,000 fine for employers who hire illegal aliens would be the best deterent available... These employers are TRAITORS.
Congress is dragging its feet.... Congress is being treasonous on this issue.... they have been aiding and abetting the illegal alien invasion for years.... so have the Presidents.
ALL illegal aliens are CRIMINALS.... that is all they can be.
The RICO Statutes should apply to this issue, it is an ongoing criminal enterprise.....

You are as absolutely right as any informed citizen can be. This is a bipartisan issue and needs to have immediate action. The problem gets bigger everyday.
The problem is obvious that the one political party believes they have the Hispanic vote in their hip-pocket and doesn’t want to do anything that might cost them their votes. The other party actually got a large percentage of the Hispanic vote in the last national election and they do not want to risk that vote. Both parties are being overly cautious in this election year, that’s why nothing can get passed in congress to address the problem. Maybe it’s time to purge congress of its incumbents—Democrat and Republican.

This fence idea is so ridiculous!!!! Think of it this way .... In places where we currently have one fence that illegals cut holes in, dig elaborate tunnels under or simply walk around the US government wants to put up 2 fences! (According to the recent press conference by President Bush) It seems like a waste of money to me. If drug lords can dig a mile long tunnel complete with electricity from a warehouse in Mexico to a warehouse in California what will 2 fences do???? NOTHING!!!!! Coyotes will keeping filling up trucks with illegals and digging tunnels.

we need real solutions.
we need laws to be equally applied.
why are the business owners and slumlords not being fined for no taxes work comp and benefits so we have to pay for injured workers and their families and they profit big form illegal wages and operations? they profit and we pay for the results?
please not a big overpriced fence that they'll just dig under and climb over..
most of them are desperate with starving families.
a fence is an expensive stupid look we did something tactic to appease the complainers. it is not not not any kind of a realistic fix or solution.

I think we need to throw them into the bonfire. I am so sick of all of their talk. That is all they do, make empty promises.

Definately Yes! We should show them in Nov. 8th elections!
Vote them All out of office and start new. We couldn't do any worse!
If that doesn't work we have "The Right To Bare Arms"!
