Power is called renewable if you can make more of it without using up the source. Petroleum is not renewable because there is a certain amount of it in the earth, and when it is all used up, it's gone. Hydroelectric power is renewable because water is always going down the river, caused by rain and melting snow which fall every year, and so you are not using up the source of the power.

I'm gonna check some stuff and get back to you. its been a while since i did any of this kinda stuff in school. I don't know that power is a renewable resource.

edit:

The person who said water, wind, solar would be right. oil is not renewable.

Methane or alcohol based energy could also be renewable.

Since, power is energy and since there is a law called conservation of energy which states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed but can only be converted, similarly power is converted to one or the other form and no loss is possible. Plz!!!!! if the above answer is wrong, don't abuse me, coz i think this is the only way to answer this question
