About 25 years ago i was into the rave scene and popping pills like they were going out of fashion, now i suffer from flashing lights in the corner of my eyes, mood swings, and weird dreams... None of it is good. If i'd known then what i know now i would have said no

All you young ones out there, think twice about this.

I would have to agree. I have dabbled, and for the past 8 yrs i've had depression. I blame it on the lifestyle I had back then.
I made the choices, I live with the concequences.

Also, I also suffer from "lightning strike flashes" in the eyes which i see occasionally, and my opthamologist can't find out why..could be why...
Had we all known this when we were 15 or 16, we still wouldn't have said NO, we thought we knew it all and never thought it would happen to us..

Definatly i abused pretty much all of them one to other then back for about 6 odd years from age 13 to 19 im coming up to 21 now clean for a year, getting over three mental health problems ( personality disorders) that were caused pretty much as a direct result of all the drugs. But i am slowly starting to feel better now, but i think what you have got to remember that the way it effects people is an individual situation ie some people can smoke three spliffs and cause themself huge problems in the long run other people ( i know quite a few ) can carry on hurting for years an years and show no obvious problems.... for know ...

Yup I spent 2 summers ago awake. I was doing so much I probably only slept 4-6 hours one night a week. I am suffering from it sooooo bad that it pisses me off knowing other people are out there doing it. Once your in the drug cycle its amazing what you learn and see. Once of the "suppliers" actually taught her own daughter about it and hooked her. Her family sits around a card table and does it for days on end for years now! Its sick, I am glad I am out of it now. But I lost most of my ability to remember anything. I am fatter now than I every was before I started them, due to starvation. Depression, paranoia, and the unbelivable urge to do them again that pops up every now and then. Oh, of course peer pressure does it get any harder than that. But, I am out of it now by god!! I still have to see a therapist to help strenthen my cognitive abilities again. I never thought I would get back to normal and after all this I have found I am close but i'll never be who I was completely!

Yeah I get mood swings and feel depressed sometimes, and sometimes it looks as if things are moving, it might be flashbacks from LSD, not all the time but it only lasts a few seconds...

Don't do anything now for the past 12 years and I wish I didn't do it back then either...

even soft drugs like cannabis have a medical terminology for an illness it can induce called cannabis pshosis. the patient even years after can suffer paranioa, hallucinations, depression, panic attacks, i smoked it for 3 years solid at circa 18 to 21 and am now 39 and still a bit f@@@@d up with mild panic attacks but at last can live a 'normal' life, 9 years i couldnt and couldnt even go into a shop. i am who i am now and in that respect wouldnt change it, however would i be ok with who i am now without it? yes. 9 years of hell. dont do it

i think you should all go and do medical test so they can gauge the effect drugs have on you....as most people want to blame something else for whats happening now....including the drugs. Life happens, we have mood swings and we forget stuff....i hope you all include alcohol in this as its not been modified for over 1000 years....how much effect do you think this has had on your life

Depends on what you mean by "affected". All that we experience affects us. The symptoms you "suffer" with may, or may not be the result of your raving chemicals. I believe that the doctor-patient relationship is secure. Inform your doctor about your concerns to receive the best care possible. If you don't trust your doctor, find a new one.

I didn't do any illegal drugs other than pot when I was younger. However I did get put on DepoProvera when I was 13, against my will. And I have come to blame that crap for many many issues I am now suffering.

i don't drink now, i'm totally teetotal as my body treats even a small amount of alcohol as a poison and i'm very sick. I do wonder if my liver is a bit more fragile than most due to some hard partying in my early twenties.
