I do not know who johnus was, but am guessing you mean Jonas or Jonah, as he is better known.
Jonah was someone who brought bad luck with him wherever he went, which is where the phrase that someone is a jonas or Jonah comes from. Basically, he was asked by God to go to Ninevah (I think!) and he didn't , so God was rather cross with him and punished him wherever he went. He had rather a lot of trials and tribulations. Eventually he tried to get away from God by sailing off in a ship. The ship was hit by a storm. the crew realised it was jonah's fault, so threw him overboard, where he got swallowed by a large fish. Feeling very sorry for himself, he asked God to save him, saying he would go to Nineveh to preach. So God made the fish throw him up. And off Jonah went to Nineveh, as he had promised.

Jonas is a variant of Jonah, the prophet who was thrown overboard, swallowed by a great fish and spewed up on dry land - rather lucky. For some reason being a Jonas is being a person that brings bad luck - sorry that's all I know.
