last night. i couldnt believe that girl, Charlotte, had the capability of even carrying a child let alone having sex giving birth and bringing up the poor thing. she looked and acted the same age as my 9 year old. I just couldnt connect her and the baby as mother and daughter, would not compute.

sorry no she wasnt nine she was thirteen when she had her but she was a very immature 13 year old. on her 14th birthday some of her family bought some things for her baby and she started crying saying how unfair it was it was her birthday not her daughters. omg

I could not believe how awful Charlotte was - I had a lot of admiration for the young couple with two handicapped children.

The whole programme was shocking! Charlotte obviously does not have the mentality or maturity to be responsible for a baby. It's such a shame when childless couples would give anything for a baby like Sophie. I wasn't too impressed by the other girl that was rolling around on the floor in labour, baby no 2 won't be far behind. The fathers of these babies should be punished by law for the part they played.

I have never seen this show, but that sounds like the worst thing imaginable. I have a 13 y/o neice, and I couldn't imagine her being a mother. I totally blame the parents for not minding what their child was doing. At some point, parents need to stop being the hip, cool friends, and give these kids some discipline. This wouldn't happen if children weren't allowed to run rampant all over, and given the opportunity to have sex, and produce a child. OMG, people are just so stupid.

I watched it. All I could think of was how sorry I felt for that poor little baby Sophie. She is so adorable and deserves so much love that she is obviosly not getting. If I were Charlottes parent's I'd put little Sophie up for adoption, I'm sure this a childless couple out there who would give Sophie all the love and support that she deserves.

Yea i saw it she seamed to have a hard time with accepting that she was a mum but at least in the end after the week with the nanny she was starting to bond and make more effort,
But in the end i blame her parents and the schools to a degree. with so much contraception around these days a proper sex education should have been able to prevent it.
But i agree about the girl with the handicapped kids what a star its hard enough looking after a normal child when you are young yourself, let alone one with Downs syndrome.

Are you serious that this Charlotte was 9 years old? Where are her parents? I wish I could have seen it because I just can't believe this. Why are kids having kids?????
Thank you for your further explanation. I think that even 13 is still way too young to have kids. She seems very immature and selfish.

Agreed. I thought that was awful.
However, on one respect a lot of adult women don't bond with their children, so it could just be a case of that.
Yet, when she was too embarressed to massage her baby and talk to it, it showed pure imaturity rather than shyness.
I felt awful for her child as she just seemed to young and not ready for it all. I think her parents should take care of the baby for the good of Charlotte and her baby.
