Yikes. Touchy. I see your dilemma. Since she's married (I know, only technically, but it still counts...ya can't make another mess before you clean up the last one. Rules of life) you're best bet would be to put it in her ballpark...maybe something like "hey, if you ever want to go for a drink (coffee, pie...whatever) and talk about things, just let me know. I'll be happy to listen."
Or you could go full on - "Hey, want to go out Saturday night? I"ll pick you up at7" :)
Just don't get yourself too attached...she's married. She could go back to him. It's happened before.

I'm sorry but there is no way to ask someone out without technically asking them out. Why don't you just be upfront with her, and don't jump around any issues. If I were in her shoes and someone was going to ask me out, I would want to hear something like this "Hey, I thought it might be fun to do this ___ would you like to join me?" or something very casual, then see where things go from there.

Why not simply ask her if she would like to go to lunch. Dinner is to much like a date. Take it slow, what's your hurry? keep it simple
