Give him an ultimatum, basically if he doesn't grow up, you will be left with no choice but to move on w/o him. If that won't change him, nothing will.

He's probably figured out that you are not going anywhere so what is his motivation for changing the way he is? An ultimatum may help but make sure you follow through and not just give him an empty ultimatum because that will backfire.

If this man loves you, and obviously he does, because marriage is a very big step to take in life. Then just talk to him, if you see a change, then it's for the good, but if you don't see any change, then there probably won't be that big of change in the marriage. Not to sound negative, but if he is like that now, then he probably won't change much in the marriage. Take it from me...I was only married for 1 and 6 months.

it can be frustrating dealing with everyday pressure and bills piling in and it is just fare for him to help out . that's part of life helping each other out , and working is part of life if you want to make it . talk to him seriously because if he does not snap now , later on , it might be more trouble in th relationship . wish you luck sweetie , and if he does not change for the better ( financially ) look for someone that appreciates you and knows that in real life , it's about working and trying to make it . hope it help a little bit .

Does he have an example to follow? Are you helping him out in his life?

When you find out how to do that, you can write a book about it and make a forture :)

In all honestly though, you need to express what your needs are. But not in a "do this or else" kind of way...

You dont. It is not your place to tell him how to act. If you dont love him for who he is then dont marry him. Why not find someone who you like the way they are rather than asking him to be someone he isnt.
