My question is about working out with sore muscles. If my muscles are really sore from working out doing things like squats, lunges, hip extensions, etc.... would it be best to walk the next day or do nothing and just let the muscles rest? Also, if I should be walking when my muscles are sore what pace would you recommend?

light exercise is perfect, and make sure to do LOTS of stretching.. that's the best way to get the lactic acid out of your system and to increase blood flow so that your muscles heal faster.. as well as keeping the muscles from knotting up.

Gentle walking the next day is fine, but remember to take the time to do stretching exercises to loosen off the muscles. Eating plenty of protein to repair the muscle tissue is important. As you get used to these exercises, the healing time afterwards will reduce.

i was taught to work out in sections... arms one day, abs the next,...rotate the workout schedule so you can rest each muscle group for at least a day before working them again. As for the sore muscles, try toning down before coming to a complet stop after excercising, like a reverse warm up.

stretch the ligaments of your muscles out BEFORE and after exercise. Stretching before helps prevent any torn muscles, and after helps to relax the muscles you have used strenously during your workout.

yep. strolling is the main suitable concern you're able to do on your sore legs. i'm uncertain that "brisk" is a huge concept, a comfortable walk could be extra effective, it truly is going to help ease the discomfort. do no longer overlook some superb, hassle-free, gentle stretches - understanding shouldn't harm. it truly is okay to take it sluggish.

walk what pace you feel comfortable at. Believe it or not, that walking can relieve the muscle pain.
