What does it mean when a guy says you dress really sexy? Is he giving me a compliment or is he trying to tell me how to dress?. My friend said this to me this out of the blue the other day. I don't know why but I was a little offended. Should I be? Now if he had said you look really sexy or you ARE really sexy then I would not be asking this question but since he targetted my attire I'm left wondering. I'm very comfortable in my body so I don't have any problems with my wardrobe. Why should he care when he isn't even my man.

It is a huge compliment and you should be flattered. He likes the way you dress and it show how sexy you are.

I think he's saying you should consider a different attire because maybe he likes you, as a person, but wouldn't consider dating you because of the potential attention you might receive. Classy is sexy. Try wearing next to nothing only in the bedroom.

Someone who "dresses sexy" is woman (or man) who wears very fitting and...well...sexy clothing. It doesn't mean you look like a whore, but it means that your fashion sense isn't a boring one. If he was trying to tell you how to dress, then he would be suggesting that you try different styles and outfits.
Trust me, its just a complement.

I wouldn't say he is telling you how to dress, I think he is just stating the obvious. Maybe he doesn't think you look sexy in what you wear and why should he, you are just friends you said. There is a difference in dressing sexy and dressing slutty, so maybe if you felt offended by his comment, you feel its leaning more to the slutty side.

it depends on exactly HOW he said it. If was said sarcastically then,yes, you should be offended. If not, then just shake your hips a little and say "Thank you"!! haha and maybe the reason he cares is because he DOES want to be your man!!

Usually it means that he finds what you are wearing very appealing. From my experience usually women use that comment negatively towards each other.
