We spend all our time worrying about what goes in our kids mouths. You need to take the pressure off, eat meal as a family giving very very small portions, i cant Stress how important that is if there is too much on a plate it really puts them off and they only have tiny tummies. Don't stress out at meal times it is impossible for a child to eat when they are crying and i promise you that by the age of 6/7 their tastes change and they will start eating a more varied diet, it seems a long way off but it will be here before you know it...milk should come after food where possible and try watering the milk right down...small amounts of water at first increasing daily...good luck...god bless...didn't stress X

Children go through a fussy stage.

At her age, she shouldn't be having more than 24 ounces of milk a day, or so my pedi says. My oldest daughter went through this phase - at this point you don't really have to make sure she's getting tons of variety. As long as what you're feeding her is healthy, she should be fine. Try to offer her several small meals a day. Maybe if she'll have a cereal bar and half a banana in the a.m, a few hours later you can offer her some crackers and cheese.

I would just try to adjust with her. Keep an eye on her weight, though. If she starts dropping weight, she should be seen by a pedi right away. They may want to put her on Pedia-Sure.

I doubt there's anything wrong - kids go through these phases. But I also encourage every parent who worries about things like this to just call their doc's office and leave a msg for the doc to call back. The child probably doesn't need to be seen, but your doc should at least chat with you about the problem and then decide whether the baby should come in or not!

Good luck!

PS - if she's still on a bottle, it's a good idea to get her off it. The milk thing might be a comfort issue because it comes in a bottle? And milk is really not great for little ones - it actually causes microscopic bleeding in the gastric system and can make your child constipated if they have too much of it! My youngest had very hard poops for a long time and at one of her appts, her pedi told me to cut her back from 30 oz of milk a day to 24. Her poops immediately became normal again.

I had exactly the same with my daughter and she was like this until she was 3 years old. Formula milk has lots of goodness in it plus lots of calories and so fills them up which is why they don't want food.

How she gave the milk up was not a very nice way, she caught a bad virus at pre-school, where she kept vomiting after food and even after drinking water, this virus went on for about 3 weeks, so of course when she did drink her milk throughout this period she got it in to her head that it was the milk that was making her sick, which wasn't true at all.

If your child is drinking formula milk maybe unknowingly to them use cows milk which wouldn't fill her up quite so much, it maybe worth a try.

I had the same problem but don't worry try giving her little and often during the day, and sit down with her in the evening but don't overload her plate as she might find it overwhelming. Whatever you do don't make her not eating a big issue kids always eat when they are hungry.

My daughter went for the time of a similar element approximately 6 months in the past & she's 2 now! She'd drink milk continuously & not prefer the rest! My wellbeing customer instructed me to cut back her milk all the way down to a minimum of one at bedtime & one interior the morning in spite of if it became very difficult. I nevertheless gave her one midday aswell yet her eating did not boost! i think of it is purely a piece all of them bypass by using quicker or later, like genuine now all my daughter will eat is fish hands & beans/weetabix/the unusual hen meal in keeping with what's with it & ice poles!!! My H/V stated that if she is hungry she would be in a position to eat something which in case you think of roughly it is genuine. i'm slowly introducing new issues to my daughter & somedays she would be in a position to bypass without tea as she in simple terms won't eat what I furnish her, i've got tried giving her the alternative, i've got tried leaving her in her chair till she eats something yet she in simple terms screams till i'm getting her down! Your daughter would understand while she's hungry & will eat so attempt to not worry, till she's dropping weight dramatically in simple terms save attempting! good success

At 2 she won't let herself go hungry. As long as she's gaining weight well I wouldn't worry all that much. If you're really concerned talk to your pediatrician and see if maybe you should supplement her with Pediasure or something. I promise though that she won't go hungry without letting you know. :)

Just give her milk then. When she's hungry, she'll eat.
