The oldest thing in the fridge would have to be the roaster pan. The food in the roaster isn't old--was just made the other day, but the pan itself is the oldest thing in my fridge. How old you ask? I can't say exactly, but lets say about 15/20 years old. Why don't I get rid of it? Why should I? I need it to cook food, and store the leftovers.

Probably that bottle of Canola oil Steve used to use for deep fat frying, and then filter before he put it back in the fridge. I don't think it's been touched in about five years. Why should I get rid of it? It's not taking up space I need; my fridge is mostly empty.

On the other hand, Steve has been dead nearly a year now, and I never do deep fat frying, so maybe I should, huh?

Bottle of good champagne.

It has been there hiding in the back for over a year, waiting for another special occasion.

All the really old unusable stuff went out in the purge of the fridge my wife did a month or so ago. Some of it was world-record-oldness and of questionable eating quality by now.

This is my fave. My mom used to have one can of Olympia beer (anyone remember that??) on a Sunday. This was way back in the 70's, it still even had the old pull tab on it. So after she passed away, I tossed it in the crisper.

It got to be a running joke..."The can of Olympia in the crisper for good luck!"

I lost it in my move in 04, and still miss it. But that's the oldest thing I ever had in my fridge.

probably a tie between the GIANT bottle of hot sauce, the jar of diced garlic and the jelly. None of them go bad, so there's no point in getting rid of them but even if they did.....we're too lazy. However there is a bowl of mashed potatoes that have been in the fridge for like a week and half, I haven't thrown them away cus I wanna see if my roommate will try to eat them. Ha ha ha ha ha

I even have had some handmade candy mincemeat on the returned of the refrigerator for over ten years. I continuously bypass away somewhat on the backside and upload the subsequent years blend to it. Its alcoholic, its scrummy and human beings continuously ask the place did i'm getting the mincemeat from. They in no way have faith me as quickly as I say its domicile made and the backside is 10 years previous. i bypass to work out how long i can save it going! consistent with probability i'd desire to have the flexibility to bypass it directly to my grandchildren!! Its in an hermetic jar.

The box of Arm N Hammer. It's got to be about 5 years old. I clean the frig out and each time, put it right back in there. I'm sure it's not fighting any odors anymore!!!!! I need to just break the bank and spend 50 cents on a new box : )
