Yes, but within reason. Referee and medical staff on hand just like in HS sports. Possible fund-raiser? At least it would curb fights in the halls during school hours. Waivers would need to be signed by parents for insurance purposes.

I think there definitely should be boxing in High School. There is wrestling, gymnastics and football all have inherent risks but they are still common. With boxing, the amount of fighting outside of school would decrease to near zero, and fighting in school wouldn't be as prevalent. It should be used as a unit in the gym class, just like soccer and baseball are, the guys could have a month of conditioning and boxing. It wouldn't even take money to purchase a ring, you could do it on the wrestling mats with people or something else in place of the ropes.
