You exercise is building muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat, but looks a thousand times better. You're getting rid of fat, and building strong lean muscle at the same time.

You have some serious perception issues. Just because you are trimming down doesn't mean that you are loosing weight. Muscle weighs more than fat. You should be gaining weight if you are doing it right. The other thing is if you are increasing muscle tone then you are getting stronger and feeling lighter because the usual weight you are normally carrying is now becoming lighter to carry due to increased strength. I suggest you start exercising the most important muscle in your head as well.

Muscle is heavier than fat....
You have become fitter with all the exercise that you have done.....and have toned up your body in the process which is shown by the reduction in your waist line.....however, as the muscles have a higher density, this has kept the weight on.
In addition, to fuel the body for such increased activity you have probably consciously or not, taken on more food. This is clearly needed to enable you to carry out these activities but they put back in some of the lost calories.
If you are not concerned about your weight per se then simply beiong healthier and trimmer is definitely a positive outcome for you. If you want to lose weight then I would expect to see this occur in the next 3 to 6 months....muscles burn calories quicker than fat and now that they are in place they will work for you.

Muscle mass weighs more the fat mass. Therefor you will loose inches and stay the same weight and since muscle can carry weight better with-out strain you tend to feel that you are lighter.

Muscle is heavier than fat so you could have lost some fat and gained a little muscle, which would explain the same weight, and being fitter and stronger would make you feel light.

It's simple......muscle is heavier than fat. You can actually lose 2 whole dress sizes, and yet remain the same weight if you replace fat with muscle. Gauge your progress by your measurements and how you fit in your clothes, not by your weight.

Congrats! You replaced fat with muscle! muscle is more dense, than fat so thats why your waist whent down. you feel lighter because instead of lugging extra fat around your using extra muscle to move around. inches are always more accurate than weight! You may lose weight later .

you are gaining muscle that is replacing fat cells.
Also, when you are weighing yourself, make sure it is on a flat surface and it is set right, step on and off so it sets to zero. and take your weight at the same time each day.
