Here are some recipes for you to try!!
Shepard's Pie
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground chuck (or regular ground beef, ground turkey or whatever's on sale)
1/4 medium onion, chopped
2 carrots, peeled and sliced diagonally
1 c. sliced mushrooms
6 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed (add milk, salt and butter as usual)
1 pkg. brown gravy mix
3/4 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Directions:
Brown ground chuck with chopped onions and drain, then set skillet aside while finishing the next steps. In three separate pots cook carrots, sauté mushrooms in a dab of butter and prepare mashed potatoes if not already done.
Prepare gravy per package directions and add to ground beef, along with carrots and mushrooms. Cover and simmer on medium heat for a few minutes until thickened. Place beef mixture into a medium sized casserole dish and cover with mashed potatoes.
Drag a fork over the top of potatoes and sprinkle with the amount of cheese desired. The more the better (just be sure to buy it on sale!) Place in 350-degree oven just long enough to melt the cheese. YUM!!

Ingredients:
1-2 lb. ground beef
1 can sweet corn
1 can French style green beans
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Mashed potatoes prepared (flake or homemade)
Shredded cheese
The generic brands all work great.
Directions:
Brown the ground beef, drain, then add the soup. Keep on low heat for a few minutes, then add the veggies. I use a cast iron skillet so there is only one pan. Cover the beef and veggies with potatoes, then top with cheese. Bake in a 350-degree oven until cheese is melted.

Shepherd's Pie - Recipe #6
Submitted by: no name given
I believe I was told my Shepherd's Pie is backwards. I use leftover mashed potatoes. I line a 1 1/2 qt. casserole with the mashed potatoes. I brown a pound of hamburger with onions and add green beans, just to heat them up. I then put the hamburger with the green beans into the mashed potatoes and put mashed potatoes on top if I have some extra and brown it in the oven at 350 degrees until warm, which is usually 30 minutes.

Yep
The best I have made is by using the stir fry beef instead of ground beef. But whatever your fancy is
Cut beef into small pieces, use a sheppards pie dry mix (can be found in the spice section of grocery store) I like adding a little worchester sauce and some salt and pepper. Use either fresh or frozen veggies, what ever you like. I like using corn, green beans, peas and carrots, Make either homemade mashed potatos or the one from the box.
Cook beef and add the sheppards pie seasoning, if frozen veggies set to room temp and add the veggies and mix well
Transfer in a baking dish (glass baking dish heats faster) and layer mashed potatos on top and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees
well la

This may be boring to you as well, but a good hamburger steak is great every once in a while. To very cold ground chuck, 3/4 lbs, add two teaspoons very cold water, some garlic powder, a little cayenne pepper, a half tsp salt and a half tsp black pepper. Mix, then form into two steak patties. Fry in a pan to medium or medium rare. Rest patties. While resting, slice an onion and caramelize in the pan drippings. De-glaze with water, beef broth, veggie broth or chicken broth. Thicken with a corn starch/water slurry. Make some good fries, and enjoy the steak and gravy.

This is how I make it. Simple and very good
Cook you ground beef with diced onions, a bit of seasoned salt and pepper.
Cook potatoes(and then mash them with butter and milk)
Open a big can of creamed corn
Spread a layer of mashed potatoes in the bottom of a casserole dish.
Then add a layer of creamed corn.
Add your ground beef.
Spread another layer of creamed corn.
And then finish it off with the rest of the mashed potatoes.
Oh yeah, and sprinkle a bit of Paprika on top.
Good luck!
