You have a period after you ovulate to shed the uterine lining, so you ovulate first, then you have a period if you are not pregnant. If you ARE pregnant, then not only do you not have a period, but you don't miss one, so you may not even know that you are pregnant. Early care is vital to having a healthy baby.

You wouldn't wear somebody's dirty underwear, would you? Neither should you have unprotected sex.

It is very inportant to use protection EVERY TIME you have sex. Condoms not only protect you from pregnancy, but from HIV, Herpes and many other stds that will kill you and can make you miserable. Syphillis actually gets into your brain and kills you. Gross.

no you do not hav to start your period to get pregnant - get some birth control if you're really serious

Nope. You can get pregnant even if you are still nursing. Take it from someone who knows. :)
