I have a swollen lymph node in my chin. I was put on antibiotics yesterday and now I have puss coming out underneath my toungue. Is this something that I should be worried about and go back to the doctor over?

You should call your doctor's office and ask to speak to his nurse. Your doctor needs to know about the pus under your tongue because it is probably the infection that caused the enlarged lymph node. They will probably tell you to see if the situation improves with the antibiotic that they gave you but they can document in your chart about the pus and you'll have your foot in the door if it doesn't get better and you need to return to the doctor for more treatment. Watch for more enlarged lymph nodes, fever, etc after your antibiotic is finished and let your doctor know about that asap.

Have you considered the fact that you might have an absess on a tooth and need to see a dentist?

the puss is why you have swollen lymph nodes the antibiotics should clear it,rinse your mouth out with hot salt water every 4 hours to keepit clean

Antibiotics take several days to work. Make sure that you take the whole course, even if you feel better.
No Alcohol.

You didn't ever pierce your tongue did you? Did they draw blood? You need a CBC, ESR, tests at least. and take the antibiotics till they are done.
