I have asked a fair amount of question and have read plenty too and it still amazes me how many people answer a question saying God or the bible will help. Why aren't they considerate enough to realise that not everyone has the same religion as them and some people like me aren't religious at all? Does their religion not teach consideration?!

To all the stupid people who have pointed out that I am asking this in the religion section, where else do you propose that I ask a question about religion?! My questions is still about religion regardless of anything else!

Also, I am talking about questions asked in ALL sections, not just this one. This section was just the appropriate place to ask mine.

Because they have a hard time thinking for themselves. Religion spoon-feeds people and makes them morally lazy. They end up just spewing Bible verses as an answer to everything or just saying "God says so" without really thinking of the implications of the issue.

It's not a matter of being inconsiderate. Their ability to reason has just atrophied to the point that "cut and paste" answers and cliche responses is all they can come up with.

I am responding to the idea that you think a great many of us are stupid people. I resent that, as do others here, I'm sure! Some of us are well qualified in various religious studies, or have valid testimony or experience to assist you, and others. Yes..this is the forum in which answers will most likely be centered around God, or another deity. Yes, this is also the place where the more serious questions are asked, questions to which people really seek answers or solace.

I guess we are stupid, after all, for we all must be mistaking our fellowship and consideration for something worse entirely. Oh, please forgive us our trespasses, for we are just stupid creatures. Yet we are, after all, equal in God's eyes! Have a Blessed day!

Here you go, as a Christian we know that the Bible has all the answers to life's questions. for instance, should I buy a house in a certain neighborhood? a Christian would ask the Lord to guide him/her to buying that right home to bring glory to God as we live our life before those around us. the best witness one can have is how he/she lives their life not what they say. does God really care about the smallest detail? His Word says He knows the very hairs on our heads! that's a pretty small detail in my book. who cares except for God. when we suggest a Bible answer to a non religious question it's because we serve a God who cares about the details of our life and loves us so much. we should always give guidance with love and never push anything on anyone who doesn't want it. maybe God wants to know you better today and that's why you get the responses you do referring to the Bible. it is the manual to life and has every answer you need. sorry to offend you with my response. I have been there and now I know the Truth!

If you want answers that have nothing to do with the bible, or God get out of the religion section.

When somebody sneezes, do you think about what to say before you say "Bless you"? No, its just an easy thing that pops into your head. Same with the people that use one liners like "Read the Bible" or "Ask God for help." Then they don't have to actually think, its just a gut reaction or response, and an easy two points for them.

Um… Are you talking about questions asked in the Religious forum? If you are, why would you be surprised to find relgious answers?

When you center your life around God, it's hard not to answer a question without Him.

Whosoever asks a question should mention their faith, otherwise it won't be clear.

Secondly, I encourage you to read a book by Dr. Jeffrey Lang (PhD in mathematics) called "Even Angels Ask". I challenge you to go through that book without changing your current beliefs (except ofcourse if you disagree for the sake of disagreeing).

God will not help unless u help ureself...if u are out of money, I dont think the god will soooo kind dropping money out of the sky to you....
Every reigion got it's own teaching but it out to individual to do good deed or bad deed
Believe in god or not is just a mental kind of thing but practical lifelihood is the most important...we need to live practically not always depend on god.

I say God Bless you, a lot.

This is the Religion section.

If that offends anyone, I am sorry, but it is so mild in comparison to the nasty jabs that get fired at me for being a Christian.

I am not complaining or saying that I can't take it, I can.

How does me saying a Prayer or giving a Blessing to another harm them?

Why is that offensive?

Peace!

There is a sad lack of consideration, I agree. You won't often catch me telling someone I don't know "Blessed Be". I also find that in some cases, those people who do answer with "God/The Bible will help" have no other way of contributing a valid point to the topic.Just an observation.
