Well, I can understand not wanting to transport drunk people or dangerous dogs, but just alcohol and seeing-eye dogs is going a bit far. Although I suppose it will really depend on what the taxi companies decide. I mean, they own the taxis, they sort of get the last word on the issue, rather than the government or the taxi drivers.

Is there a law that says taxi cab drivers must provide service to everyone or since it's not a public transportation method but a privately owned service they hold the right to refuse service to anyone.

Here's an idea......find another cab. (Oh I'm sorry mister middle class white man I forgot you are entitled to that cab ride in that particular cab aren't you. How dare that person deny you your right to a cab ride. Do you also get pissed when you walk into your local Waffle House and they ask you to put on a shirt and shoes, you hillbilly? That Waffle House has no right to refuse you service because of your belief that it's okay to dine in public with you sweaty pits and smelly feet exposed for the whole world to see. You are entitled to that Bert's Chili and T bone steak aren't you?) I'm sure when you fly to your next Dubya rally there will be plenty of homegrown, whitebread, redneck, gun totin', good ol' boy's who think exactly like you and have the exact same religious and moral beliefs that you do who will be happy to give you a ride from the airport.

No taxi cab driver should ever refuse a handicapped person a ride. That is just wrong. As for alcohol, well dimbulb open containers are illegal in vehicles all over America, so please get a clue.

This question, and the report, are both propaganda. My position is closely associated with the largest cab company in the region. Many of our drivers are Muslim (better then half actually) and they have never refused a fare.

Can you please tell me what the he@@ that has to do with politics? I get so sick of everyone blaming everything on the Democrats or even the Republicans for that matter....... Nobody can control the world! If we would stop pointing fingers and instead try to work on solutions to the worlds problems, we would be in alot better shape!

I thought you Republicans were the 'moral' ones who pass the blue laws that forbid buying alcohol on Sunday.
