Oh My Gosh, I feel for you! I had a boss like that...his breath reaked so bad that it stunk up his WHOLE OFFICE!!!! You had to hold your nose to walk in there. Then to add insult to injury, he would be all up in my face just like your boss. Only good thing about this is it was a large company. So all the employees got together and we worked up a plan and it was as simple as leaving a bottle of mouthwash on his desk!!!! He didn't know where it came from cause like I said it was a pretty large company. But hey, he got the hint and thats all that matters.

So try that. Even if you are working in a small office. He isn't going to try to find out who did it. He will be to embarrased.

GOOD LUCK...and healthy breathing.

Thats funny, I had that problem before, and my boss was totally unaware of it, I ask to meet with him privately, I explained to him that I am coming to him as a friend not an employee and stated that people are talking behind your back and I cant take it anymore, are you aware that your breath has an odor, I'm not one to talk and laugh behind someones back because it may be something serious that you need to get check out, I just wanted to let you know that it is bad, i could smell it today, I did get you some mints to get you through the day until you can get it checked out, I didnt get fired either

regrettably, a mint or a chunk of gum will purely quickly mask the priority. He in all probability desires a solid colon cleanse, yet telling him it incredibly is in all probability worst than merely asserting "Sir your breath smells worst than a barrel of ???". So attempt somewhat opposite psychology. verify your man or woman breath quite a few circumstances on an analogous time as he's chatting with you as once you're self conscious. Then say something like " Sorry Sir, I had some garlic some days in the past, and that i will no longer be able to seem to get the smell off my breath." then you definately ask him if he's conscious of something that could assist you with the priority. in line with risk this might instant him to accomplish a little breath checking himself. solid success

Get some gum or tic tacs... and when he's talking to you... just pop it out and have some... then offer it.

If he refuses, tell him you're not trying to offend him but he needs to have some. Most people, if they're mature adults, appreciate the honesty. I had to tell an old boss that he chewed with his mouth open. He thanked me a couple of weeks later... when his girlfriend commented on the fact that she noticed he didn't any more... it bothered her, but she was scared to say something.

As for your concerns about me... no, I'm not talking to you in the hopes of 'hot chat' online. I'm talking to you because I think you're a genuinely sweet, beautiful woman, and we're from the same city, and I'd like to get to know you and maybe be friends with you if we get along. Nothing sinister. Just friendship.

i know how you feel-my man has the same problem-and i have to act like his f------- mother and be blunt-brush floss and Listerine-and he has to be told all the time-or he lets up on his hygiene--not only do i have to save myself -but all the people he works with-so if i were you I'd have someone close to him have a little chat-about his stink breath-wife girlfriend another guy in the office-etc chances are they smell it too! And what really sucks is they don't know they have it----my man still swears it's in my head/this morning he had it so bad-because i let up on him for a few days-don't get me started......it has to be one of the worst things-and the funny thing his teeth are awesome(go figure)

always have gum with you or mints and offer him one when you talk to him,,,,,,maybe after a while he will get the hint, "gee why is this person offering me mints all the time?" if he ask you then just say , " I am overly sensitive about having bad breath and I want to make sure my breath is fresh" by putting it back on you he wont feel so offend, and may take the hint........it is worth a try.

Buy a pack of Chewing Gum and a bottle of mouthwash. Wrap it in a gift box with a nice note like, "We all love you so much & care for you....but you have a bad breath, it would not look good if a client will notice this".....something like that. Use a fake name and send this gift with flowers.....

"Breath Mint?...... Here take the whole thing"

and do this every morning till he get the message.

Good thing it's about the breath and not his body odor. The old man smell is harder to get rid off on a hot day.

take in some breath mints with you and offer him 1 before he has a chance to gas you out!

or you could just slide a box of mentos across the table at him and say, "before you open that smelly pit you call a mouth, you better deposit one of these in there or this meeting is over!"

Good luck!

I had a boss like this too. I used to get a pack of gum, and while in a conversation with him I would get out a piece for me and offer him one. 99% he took one and at least for that day, my problem was solved.
