127 is pretty good (especially these days!). But it all depends what Test you took to determine your scores' real value.

I got 148 from the official Mensa test about 10 years ago...

The national average is 100 so 127 is a good score. BTW I've done 2 tests and got 127 on both :)

The test is supposed to be centred to a 100 average, so 127 is well above that and therefore constitutes a high score. Not quite genius level, but that's nothing to be ashamed of!
Last time I took a test, my IQ was measured at 134.

127 is very good. www.tickle.com is a good site to try.
Mine has been consistantly around 136 - 139 on different varieties, including Tickle, for most of my life (currently 62)

That said, I have better test taking ability than you, according to the tests. But it is how intelligence is applied that really counts. Happier people generally have lower scores. Also people with higher scores are handicapped because we tend to think we know it all. Mental health is a much better indicater of success..A high percentage of high IQ people lead miserable lives mostly due to perfectionism.and thinking we are superior to others. We are not.

So enjoy life, use your smarts wisely, and good luck

Well, if your IQ really is 127 on any standard test, then you know it is a pretty good score. Why do you want to know mine?

But be aware that different tests are scored on different scales, and if you take three different tests, you will get three different scores. Even the percentile might be different. I once took several IQ tests as a volunteer psychology subject in undergraduate school. I got three tests, three different scores. Two placed me in the 99th percentile, and one in the 98th, but they all had different quotient numbers.

100 is "average" intelligence so at 127 you're doing pretty well.

If you do the test again I bet you'd get an even better result too! The score shouldn't change with practice but it does really. I went from 142 to 155 in a week...

Your IQ won't replace with age. you're able to get diverse scores on diverse exams, yet IQ is meant to be a length of intelligence, and your intelligence would not replace as you age. That being stated, an IQ of one hundred is approximately average. a extra physically powerful IQ means you're extra clever than average, a decrease score means you're much less clever than average. while you're taking an internet try, observe that those at the instant are not extremely precise, as to my wisdom, they seem to inflate just about everybody's score. maximum people who take those declare to have a IQ around a hundred and twenty or bigger, yet to verify that that to be genuine, an equivalent sort of folk ought to checklist having a under average score, and no one looks to try this.

Without trying to p**s on your parade. Many of the on line IQ tests give you a good score in the hope you go on and buy or sign up for something from them. If its a ligit test its pretty good!

Shame that the IQ test is a load of hogwash. Its inventor, Eysenck, admitted eventually that he'd fiddled his results to give the test credibility. It is however a darned fine indicator of the ability of someone to solve a very limited type of problem on paper - it should never be imagined that it is a fair and proper indicator of intelligence with all its many facets and various forms. It has also been ripped to shreds by sociologists who have pointed out how culturally biased it is. In a nutshell - it's crap.
