I just wanted peoples opinion, I run a small family shoot on my parents farm and want to increase it. I was thinking about putting down about 3000 pheasants and selling a number of full guns for 9-10 days driven pheasant shooting. Do you think that £1800 is too much or too little. The average bag should be 40% of 3000 so 100-120 birds per day.

sounds ok, there are cheper shoots out there though. Do it right mate , get intouch with basc head office and they will put you right and more than likly help you. You need to take alot into concideration when running a big shoot and like i say they will advise you on every detail. Its alright asking us lot, you need to ask the pro's the people who do it more or less 360 days a year. where you at anyway, would be intrested in working my dogs

Sounds pretty reasonable to me......of course if you are taking money from strangers then you will be open to criticism if it all goes wrong......you'll need insurance and a plan of action if for unexpected reasons you are unable to provide the shooting days. I assume also that the shoot will be run in accordance with the BASC Code of Practice. So that's more rules for you. But the price seems reasonable.....only £180 per day roughly. But best of luck to you and I hope it all goes well for you.
