I met this man who went out of his way to treat me like a lady once I asked him had he been seeing some one else he pretty much turned it all around and we went south?

For some the thrill of the chase will make them all happy and nice and whatever else but as soon as they get what they want they know that they no longer have to act all nice and crap knowing that what they wanted is there.

It's all about the chase - when a cheetah catches it's prey, sometimes he'll have a nibble then leave it for vultures to feast on.
Find a hungry cheetah or run really fast!
