A serious question. Last night, I watched Schindler's List for the first time. It reminded me of the time to come when Christians and Jews will together be persecuted with the intent of elimination in Nazi fashion. Would you, as a non-Christian or nonJew, shelter those persecuted for their faith to the best of your ability when government(s) want them imprisoned and executed?

Answering this question is alot easier than actually doing it. I would say yes, I would definitely shelter those being persecuted. But, I am saying this from behind a computer screen, in the safety of my house. But, if i were living in a "nazi" like regime and the fear of torture and death are a real threat, not just to myself, but to the ones I love, then I would have to say I am not sure what I would do. I would like to think I would still do the right thing, but without being placed in the actual situation, I think it is impossible to tell what I would do.

Those times will be different and only those who listen to God and operate on the influence of the holy spirit will survive it, the vast majority of the christian population will not.

We'll be handed over and made powerless, anyone who would shelter a christian or jew in those days would quickly change their point of view and offer little in the way of protection.

It'd be great to say no and watch the religious finally get what they deserve for following unprovable bullcrap... but the simple fact is, oppression is oppression. Better a billion die than one have his or her rights infringed. I'd be no better than the killers if I did not make some attempt to offer what assistance I could.

If they were going to be wrongfully executed, yes. I would not put my family in danger otherwise. If it was just me, yes, but my family deserves to be safe and that would be my first concern.

I would shelter them because they are human beings. So what if they are religious.
