The only thing that will get you over a heart break is time, live your life and move on, don't sit and dwell on what could have been.

Be with friends, do activities, look to your family for support. Stay busy! Easier said then done, but it's true.

Time will heal it, just takes time sweetie!

Good luck!

Hook up with old (and new) friends of the same sex as you are. Avoid drinking if you do that for recreation. Start a hobby, or go back to your old hobbies. Visit people at their houses and invite people over. Avoid being alone. Concentrate on your work/studies, make plans for weekends and stay away from places you used to go to with your now ex-partner. Takes time, but you'll feel better every day, I promise.

There is no perfect answer for this one. You can't just eliminate feelings, they take time to get over...sometimes, a lot of time. The best thing that you can do is to keep busy. Make sure that your down time is always occupied with something. Spend time with friends, and tell them that you don't want to talk about whoever you broke up with. That will come down the road...for now, you need to occupy your thoughts with something else.

It just takes time. Cry and be sad at first then move on and distract yourself with something you enjoy - a hobby, a sport, spend time with your friends, whatever makes you happy. Break-ups suck, but you'll get through it. Good luck.

time heals all wounds--but, the best thing you can do is take care of yourself--don't drown yourself in sorrow, get out with your friends for dinner/dancing/shopping--take up a hobby or sport. keep active and remember, you will get over him!
