How can you compare New York to Cape Town?

I have never been to New York although I dream of it every day. Is there anybody out there, who has, and can give me the pro's and con's of the two Cities.

I live in Manhattan and I went to Cape Town for my honeymoon. While I loved Capetown is was nothing like New York. While both cities are very cosmopolitan, New York is so much bigger and far less scenic. I would compare Capetown to a combination of San Francisco and South Beach Miami. New York is far more expensive than Capetown, epecially when you take into consideration the exchange rate.

If you dream of New York, I do suggest you visit the city soon.

This is a bit like trying to compare Cape Town and Johannesburg but New York has less fatal crime and more exciting things to do.

Cape Town would always be smaller but more perfect!
