Umm we are able to read....
John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your
sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
In verse 59 Jesus said "before Abraham was, I AM
Often we can better understand what is said by knowing what those who did hear it understood it to mean. We can see here "they took up stones to cast at Him"
In other scripture, it states plainly such as John 10
30 I and my Father are one.
31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?
33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
Jesus did not correct them. He did not say that HE did not say this.
Does it make a difference...It sure does.If we do not trust the Christ of the Bible, we are trusting an Antichrist. Again, Jesus said:
I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your
sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

Personally? Where did you get that? All of Jesus' claims are WRITTEN DOWN in the Bible. No need for still small voices.
Mark 14:62-64 is very clear. "And Jesus said: I AM. And you shall see the Son of Man sitting on the Right Hand of Power and coming in the clous of Heaven." As is the Pharasee response: :64 Ye have heard the blasphemy:...
Then there is John 8:58. Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM. This referenced the Father at the Burning Bush. Like it or not, Jesus is either a lunatic, a liar, or the LORD. Nothing else fits.

Jesus is the Holy Spirit of God; all so know as the Trinity, God the Father, Jesus Christ-His Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus has many names in the Bible; in Matthew 1: 23 the Bible says...
"Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which translated means, God With Us."
Here are a few more names that are in the Bible....
Christ Jesus, Messiah, Redeemer, Comforter, Savior, Prince of Peace, the Word of God, Friend, King of Kings, Deliverer, I AM, Servant, Bread of Life, High Priest, Friend.
Jesus's claim to be God is true, He was God in the Flesh.
The problem with a lot of people is that, They don't Believe in God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit or anything in the Holy Bible.
I could go on and on and show you in the Holy Scriptures the Truth, but you wouldn't believe me; how sad.
All of the free and wonderful gifts, peace of mind, assurance of salvation, and the path to Hell, but you will you would rather curse me with foul language.
I pray for your soul that you will dig out your Bible that you've tossed aside and seek the answers for yourself. I was once like you, schoffing what others Believe in , having Faith in, Trusting in, finding Comfort in, finally understanding that there is a God, and how much He Loves You, IF you would only Seek Him, Ask Him, Trust in Him.
Father God, have Mercy on this person, touch their Heart and fill them with you Grace, that they may see the errors of thier ways, Amen. YBIC Carl

If you can make any sense out of Christianity or their holy Bible, then you are a better person than most. It seem that very few of them realize that the first book of the NT was written at least 60 years after the death of Jesus. NO ONE knows what Jesus said. I fail to see why anyone would have faith in something that was made up by ignorant shepherds, almost 2000 years ago.

I'm guessing you've never actually read the Bible.......
You may wish to read Exodus 3:13-14 and John 8:56-58. Taken together, these Scriptural sources prove Jesus stated unequivocally that He is God.
Peace.

I never claimed that so top generalizing!! I'm a Christian and I do not think Jesus claimed to be GOD, he said he was his father...
Watch "the Gospel of John" it's a wonderful adaptation of Jesus and his feelings of his father

All our faiths are based on truth, but get distorted by the
wisdoms of men. True, many Christians are taught to believe Jesus was God himself. And the Trinity teaching has been made to back that up.
It is based on a statement Jesus made. He said, "IF you have
seen me, you have seen the Father."
This may have been figurative. Meaning IF they saw him in His true form. A being of light, like at the Transfiguration on the
mountain. They might know and understand God.
Nevertheless, Christ said many times that his Father was
still in heaven while He was on Earth. And one statement
Jesus made was, "My Father is GREATER than I."

Well in all the bibles if a person reads them, Jesus never claimed to be God, Actually he gave the Glory to his father, prayed to his father, acknowledged holy spirit came from his father, etc... he even requested that he not die.....Jesus is divine in referring to his life in heaven, he is a mighty god but not Almighty God, Proverbs ch 8:22,23 this is Jesus explaining his life before the earth was created.

I do daily... Still his words are recorded for us in a book men died to protect. Along with the prophecies of him given 900 years before His birth and what His followers were willing to go through for His name years after His death and resurrection, I would say there is reason to believe what is written... Na most haven't met Him personally. That's why we have this little history book that recorded things that He said. We call it the Bible. The Bible has never been proved wrong but only proved right and it is the best source we have.
I'll put my faith in 1st century historians over the common Atheist attacking what he doesn't understand any day.
