The trick is to butter the bread and then sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar mixture on top first. After that lay toast in a baking pan or flat pan and toast in oven or toaster oven until brown. Doing this part first keeps the ingredients on the toast and it taste better when the butter is melted into the bread with the taste of cinnamon and sugar.

That was a nice kindergarten you went to; mine never served anything but stale cookies and milk that had sat out on the windowsill too long.
Cinnamon toast, as I understand it, is buttered toast with cinnamon sugar sprinkled on it.
I prefer to use Pennsylvania Dutch spice blend for that, myself. 4 parts cinnamon, 2 parts ginger, 1 part nutmeg and 1 part cloves. Mix that with sugar (I use fructose) and put it on buttered toast, and you will think your taste buds are in heaven!

Yummy? Try this: Use your regular cinnamon, vanilla, milk and egg batter with thick sliced bread. Here's the yummy part. Use a rolling pin to smash up about a quarter cup of pecans. Mix the smashed pecans to an equal amount of rolled oats (oatmeal) and pour into a shallow pan. Dredge the bread in the egg batter then in the pecan/oatmeal mixture (cover well). Deep fry. If you don't have a fryer use a frying pan with a 1/2 inch of oil at 350 degrees. Fry until golden brown on both sides. Serve topped with spiced apples and whipped cream, maple syrup on the side. The ratio of oats to pecans stays the same just increase the total amounts for more portions. You may try substituting strawberries or bananas for apples. Enjoy.
