Hey...I don't answer too many of these questions, but I can't hold back on this one.
What does a 30 year old man have in common with a 16 year old girl? Or even worse, the girl who wrote above me, 16 and 36. No matter how grown up the girl may think she is, it's impossible for that 16 year old girl to have the mentality of a 30 year old man... unless that man has a mentality of a 16 year old girl (which is very possible). None the less, it doesn't make it right. Let the girl live her life like a normal teenager...go to school, go to prom with someone her own age, enjoy life with people her own age.
From experience--I was a 15 year old girl with a 26 year old man, thought I was grown up, thought I was "in love".....just because it was consentual didn't make it right and the law drew a line that said it wasn't right.
I grew up, gained some real common sense and realized the SOB ruined 3 years of mine and my parents' life. I wonder if he realized what he did when he was sitting in jail.
If you're interested in a youngin, leave her alone--you'll be doing more damage than you both may think at the time.
I guarentee you a 30 year old successful woman will have more to offer than a 16 year old girl. The only downside, I'm sure you won't be able to manipulate the older woman like you could a young one....which is the reason I believe men interested in children (that's what they are) don't want to go for a woman their own age.

I was 30 when I 'hooked up' with my gf who was 19 at the time.
3 years later, we still don't care what people think.. she's even been called my daughter more than once by strangers.
She wants to get married really bad, but she's still young, so I'm making her wait.
And actually, I sometimes jokingly tell her that I'm about ready to trade her in like a car, and get a newer model (yes, she knows I'm kidding).
It's all good, yo. If you can pull it off, then maybe you wouldn't have to 'pull it' so often !!
Now, 16 & 17 ? There's laws against that. I'm NOT criticizing. I'm just saying you're on your own.

I always date older guys. When I was 16 I was engaged to a 30 year old. But after I graduated high school I realized how much I had missed, and I left him. But he was VERY controlling. I wasn't allowed to hang out with my friends or anything, if I wasn't in school, I was with him or at home. He would call to make sure I was were I was suppose to be, which was at home if I wasn't with him. I think it would work as long as you don't try to control her.
But I would watch out for the 16 year old cause they are still illegal, and might have other intentions then just being with you. I know some girls that were like this.

hmmmm....I am 26 and always dated older....but I think when you are 30 and the girl is 16...ehhh...If you both have feelings then i say why not but you are not really gonna get anything serious from a 16yr old...she is still a baby herself and has not experienced life. all you are gonna get is prison time if you get caught. age is just a number but you really need to think about wheather you have common intrests common goals.

Kevin, you already slipped and said "hook up".
It's not the number that society looks at, but where they are (stage) in life. She's still in school and most likely still doesn't know what she wants in life. Leave it alone buddy!
If you really care, wait for her to get "settled" in life.
