What are some good daily excercises/sitting positions/sleep positions that will help me improve and straighten out my posture? About how long does it take to see results?

I'm not sure about sleeping positions but when I started becoming aware of my poor slouching as a bad habit, I just made myself more aware of it and began practicing good posture on my own whatever it was I was doing. Now I'm always conscious of how I sit or stand. Not to say that I don't sit and relax from time to time, b/c I still love to slouch!

For good posture, if you look in a mirror, make sure that your ears line up with your shoulders. I went to a physical therapist that taught me this. She said, chin in and shoulders back and down. She said it took her a year to get her posture right, but once she did she was pain free and also looked very tall (she was only about 5'7"). I think it's worth the commitment so you don't end up hunched over later in life.

you have what's talked approximately as "forward head posture." it extremely is a topic which includes your neck attempting to counterbalance what's happening which includes your low back -- so which you ought to paintings on the two. maximum folk get this from being hunched over a working laptop or pc or in basic terms having undesirable posture. over the years, the muscle tissues in front get short and must be stretched out. The muscle tissues in the back get vulnerable and must be bolstered. you may fix it, yet you may not in basic terms attempt to go your neck back and think of it gets fastened.

Try some Yoga exercises. It won't take long before you see results. Also, here's an old trick that works like a charm: keep your chin tilted up especially when you walk. It will force you to straighten your spine. Keep doing it and it becomes a habit.
