I find these people to be extremely offensive in their manner while supposedly spreading the word of God. Do people really believe that this church has a message worth listening to?

It's pretty ridiculous. While I am completely against censorship, I don't know that the intent of free speech was really designed to protect this kind of hatred and bigotry. But, just because the majority of us finds it inappropriate and offensive, doesn't mean that everyone does, nor does it prevent them from saying it.

They may view openmindedness and acceptance as disgusting as we view their bigotry, but I wouldn't want to give them the opportunity to stifle our message. It's disturbing when someone takes a message of love and perverts it into a doctrine of hate, but in a sense, I think their hatred can motivate "good-minded folks" to speak up. Think about it, if it weren't for their hatred, whould we even be discussing this? Their negativity provides a springboard for our positivity.

Without even going to the link I can tell you that this church does not have a message worth listening to. These people give Christians a bad name. God does not hate "fags" or anyone else. God hates SIN, but He forgives the sinner.

The church membership is basically just one extended family. No denomination wants anything to do with them. They call themselves Christian but their message is about as far from the teachings of Christ as you can get.
Everything they do is geared toward generating publicity for themselves, and they don’t care at whose expense. The best thing people could do is ignore them and shun them completely.
We could speculate why anybody would be homophobic to that extreme that they would devote their entire life to the issue, but I can only imagine one cause. I guess life must really be miserable when you can’t accept who you are.

Is not a man and woman living together out of wedlock, a sin? God also calls this sin. Sin just as great as homosexuality. However, its acceptable that a man lay with a woman who isnt married. Or how about adultery? Adultery, in my opinion, is one of the worst types of abuse one could possibely do to their spouse. This by the way, is too a sin. Or how about lesbianism? Hmm? Do we hear pastors storm up and down about two women having sexual relations? Hardly.... Its because its acceptable. STOP THE HYPOCRICY! Only GOD can change a person. Hatred cannot. It is OUR duty as a Christian to bring people to CHRIST...... Not reject them.

that's equivalent to announcing that the Tea get jointly is a team of liberal activists attempting to make extremely-ideal wingers look rather extreme, thereby forcing moderates returned to the left. WBC is honestly a team of atheists, for this reason means faithies would be thrown any opposite direction. In the two cases, the respond is 'no', consistent with Occam's Razor. it rather is ok to settle for there are genuine lunatics in the international with out having to coach to an analogous form of lunacy to describe them.

This church is NOT spreading the word of God. They are a very small organized hate group that is operating under the sheeps wool of Christianity.

They are not of God and they do not represent the Christian community in any way. they are an abomination to Christ and all that he stands for.

The Westboro Baptist 'Church' is entirely made up of the Phelps family. Its only got ~ 25 'members'. If it weren't for their attention whoring protests they'd get no coverage and have no influence.
No one finds their message tolerable.

If one calls themselves a Christian and yet denies the Word of the Lord, they are no Christian. He has given His word a light unto us, but yet in our earthly wisdom seek to counsul God. Is the Lord God a man that he should lie? Sin is Sin, and the Lord according to His Word hates the doers of iniquity.

I'm baptist and want everyone to know this is not mainstream baptist. God loves homosexuals just as much as he love any other sinner. This church is way off line and do not speak for God

God hates the sinful act. They can repent and stop living that lifestyle and turn their live over to Jesus and they will be forgiven. But homosexuality is an abomination.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Not all churches act as God intends them to.

Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Pray for those churches who act like that.
