Ali, no doubt about it. In his prime, Ali fought guys like Tyson and beat them all, (Liston, Frazier, Norton, Forman, Shavers). The most important of these is Liston who many people feared, just like they did Tyson in his prime. Matter of fact, When Liston fought for the title against Floyd Patterson, Patterson knew he had no chance to win, so BEFORE the fight, Patterson gathered together a disguise to wear AFTER the fight so no one would recognize him once he lost the title. When Ali fought Liston, he humiliated him to the point where Liston quit on his stool between rounds, giving the title to Ali. Ali would have done the same thing to Tyson, only Tyson would not have quit on his stool, Tyson would have tried to break Ali's arm, bite his ear, hit Ali with elbows, low blow, any and everything and eventually get disqualified.

Unfortunately we'll never know. I think Ali would, but had Tyson stayed with Teddy Atlas for his whole career things might have been different.
People seem to forget there were boxers bigger than Mike Tyson in the 70s. Ernie Shavers, Ken Norton, George Foreman, and have you ever seen Sonny Liston? These guys were huge. Mike might have been a little quicker though.
Ali was just too good of a boxer, smart, ringmanship and psyche out the opponent.
Not a fight I would bet on though.

Not only would Muhammad Ali whip Tyson but so would Cassius Marcellus Clay. They both were too smart for Tyson and had what Tyson was/is weak against, a devastating jab. The only chance he(Tyson) would have was against Cassius because he was more cocky and mistake prone. However, Angelo Dundee would factor in Clay's win. Tyson was a great champ and if Cus D'Amato hadn't died, Tyson would not be fighting exhibitions to make ends meet.

Definately Ali. Tyson is a bruiser, which seems to work for him, but Ali had the speed and the skills to keep a shorter Tyson on the outside. When this happens to Tyson he kind of loses it. He goes in throwing both hands, but doesn't think straight so he doesn't fight smart. Ali would see this in him and eat him alive.

This would be awesome! Ali would kick Tyson's butt. Tyson would come out and try his first round knock out style. He might even get Ali down in the first round. Then Ali would pull the old rope-a-dope on Tyson, and wear him down. Ali would come back fresh in round three and eat tyson up for the next 5 rounds, eventually KOing Tyson in round 8 or 9. Tyson would look worse than when he fought Buster! It would be a great fight cause Ali would make it look good, but Tyson would look like the stupid chump he is by round three.

Ali would win without a doubt. For two reasons. 1. He is quicker and would definetly outpoint tyson. 2. Many people don't know he has the greatest chin in boxing. Only been down once by fraiser and never Ko'd.(Tko by holmes but that doesn't count he was like 50 yrs old) *So he could survive tysons onslaught regroup recover and box his ears off.

I've explained how this particular fight scenario would play out many times in the past so my apologies to the asker of the question for my refusal to digress. Muhammad Ali TKO round 12.
