My grandma was the only person I trusted everything. But now I found out that she's been telling some of my secrets and things that I told her to other irrelevant people.I'm really mad at her and I don't trust her anymore. This is the first time someone I really care about has done that to me.The hard thing is that when I see her I don't know how to act and speak.I don't speak to her much in order to not get hurt again.I've cried a lot and I don't think I'm gonna be able to forgive her. What do you guys believe I should do?I mean she betrayed me and she had hidden me real important stuff.I don't find it easy to forgive now.My feelings are really mixed in a bad way...HELP!!!

Lesson one is, when you tell a secret to someone, it is no longer a secret. I am certain that your grandmother never intended any harm in sharing any information you shared with her. The best thing to do is talk to her about it, ask her why she is telling things you have shared with her in confidence to other people. Let her know it has hurt your ability to trust with personal information. She is your grandma and she deserves at least that much. You say that the people she shared it with are irrelevant people, but you may find out different. Give granny a chance to explain herself and maybe you will find that she is a habitual gossip and can not expect her to keep anything she knows to herself..

Okay did grandma know you wanted things kept a secret? Anyway you need to forgive and if I were you I'd tell her how you feel.My mom was the same way and she told a best friend everything.Mom didn't mean any harm but after I told her how I felt she stopped.I now make sure I let her know if it's a secret.

Well ... without knowing what kinds of secrets she told it is hard to say who is right.

For instance, if you were having unprotected sex or drinking or something, it was her duty as an adult who loves you to tell.

If she told a little secret, like you have a crush on a boy and she told someone because she thought it was cute, then you are being way to hard on her. Things like that may seem like a big deal at your age, but they really aren't.

Okay, sometimes adults need feedback from other adults in order to know how to best be there for the people who count on them. I doubt your grandmother was talking to people just to gossip. She probably wanted to be there for you in the best ways possible given whatever issues you presented to her, and so she talked to people she thought could help her determine how to help you, or maybe even how to better understand your situation. I recommend cutting her some slack and maybe asking in a non-accusatory way what her purpose was in sharing the information with others. It may even bring you closer when you hear her answer.

I said a prayer for you today
And know God must have heard-
I felt the answer in my heart
Although He spoke no word!
I didn't ask for wealth or fame
(I knew you wouldn't mind)-
I asked Him to send you treasures
Of a far more lasting kind!
I asked that He'd be near you
At the start of each new day
To grant you health and blessings
And my friendship to share your way!
I asked for happiness for you
In all things great and small-
But it was for His loving care
I prayed the most of all!

She may of told someone. but do you see that she's likely did it for your best interest? Sometimes Gramma's/Mom's need help in raising a child. They tell others sometimes to get some feedback on what to do.
or maybe she just didn't know you wanted it a secret.

She's your Gramma.. you have to forgive her and move on.
