isobelmys...

I have read the Tarot for 48 years and find an increasing need in the people who come to me for renewed hope in their lives.

I am the most positive person I know, believing as I do in the 'world we create is the world we live in' doctrine.

Thank you for your kind thoughts.

We're going through a period of ever increasingly irrisponsible journalism. The media portrays society as if it's in self destruction; which can potentially become self fullfilling - or at the very least impact how people behave.

I don't think anybody can say that we're living in peaceful times and things are particularly troubled right now. But I don't trust the media to present a realistic picture either.

Yes most definitely live each day for the moment. Adjust your focus to adventure, challenge and excitement for a new twist. Don't waste another second wondering about the negatives in life and go for the gusto. ENJOY

in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 it says
But realize this that in the last days difficult times will come
For men will be lovers of self'
lovers of money
boastful
arrogant
revilers
disobedient to parents
ungrateful
unholy
unloving
irreconcilable
malicious gossips
without self control
brutal
haters of good
treacherous
reckless
conceited
lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God
holding to a form of a godliness
although they have denied its power. Avoid such men as these.

Put your hope in Jesus:
And in Romans 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you Will abound in Hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Are we desperate for hope?! Yes the world is chaotic however, is it just that we hear about it more with the media we have. If we tried to be nice to the people we meet or pass during the day perhaps it would seem a little less awful.

No I think it has always been this way! Only now we can communicate our feelings faster than ever before and good news has never sold newspapers!

The world has always been desperate for help and always will be. I feel fortunate to live in such a free and wealthy nation. Where we can change laws we do not like and afford to help others even if in a small way!

i really do think that with people being so pessimistic , even on these boards ... that this does the world no good
instead of watching the news i prefer to turn it off and just send out some good thoughts
people may feel i am ignoring the issues ... but what i am trying to do is not feed it
there is not enough love going round and we need it more now than ever xx

Jibba is right, there is no more war and mayhem than in the past per capita, possibly less. It's just with technology we hear of things happened on the other side of the world immediately, whereas in the past they didn't know what was happening just a few miles away

YES it is!
Not only are people "falling out" because of the psychological
aspects of the GLOOM and DOOM preaching. But there is
actually a negative force building up inside the Earth, called the
FEAR. Isaiah 24:18. KJV only. Note how the words
are said.
This is causing people who are already "losing it", to snap on people, resulting in the senseless violence we are seeing.

You have to take joy from other things in life that bring you pleasure, life is too short to worry about what is going on around us. Unfortunately wars seem to be part of the world we live in.
