With my method below, I dont think you can lose 20 pounds but for me it is proven I lost 5 KG (sorry dont know the conversion) in only 3 weeks.

1) Avoid carbohydrates for dinner. Rice, noodle, bread, even potatoes. Avoid starchy stuff too such as sweet deserts or creamy soups. Eat an excess of vegetables and meat or clear soups to have the full feeling and prevent cravings.

2) Jog in the following morning. jog until you sweat and are panting hard is sufficient. No need to force yourself into 10km. Note: if you havent exercised in a long while, take your time, dont rush/force it cos if you strain your muscles, you have to skip a few days to rest them.

3) ENJOY YOUR BREAKFAST AND LUNCH I ate anything i wanted; dint abstain from any foods at all. (but of course sensible please, dont eat 3 tubs of ice cream)

4) Repeat either everyday or on alternate days of the week. For me i did it alternate weekdays (3x a week), but I stil skipped carboh for dinner, but i just dint jog the following morning. You can eat carboh for dinner during the alternate day (that you do not exercise) but again sensebily please

5) ENJOY THE WEEKENDS! I considered as a break/reward, but of course you are welcomed to continue if you are afraid that might throw you off course again, Once again, sensibly enjoy please (see point 3).

The explaination (if you know what Im toking about) is that:

1) carboh u eat is digested into the following:
-glucose: circulates your blood stream and is used by your body/muscles etc. The basic fuel for body processes
-glycogen: excess glucose and is stored in muscles as glycogen and used when glucose in the blood stream is low/finished up
-fats: excess excess glucose is turn to fat when there is more than enough glycogen storage and glucose in the blood stream

therefore when you skip carboh at dinner, the carboh digested from lunch most likely is used up by the time you start to jog in the next day morning (its more than 12 hours without glucose intake)

2) so when you start your jogging, or halfway into it, you begin to burn fats; you start burning fats quicker into exercise than if you were to have normal carboh intakes. thats why you needn't jog for 10km

3) then after buring fats in your morning jog, you really need to replenish glucose for your day's activities. so thats y you can eat anything you like/as per normal. Once again sensibily means that wat you eat is just sufficient glucose/glycogen and not replace the fats you had burnned off (the 3 tubs of ice cream)

4) excess carboh (or glucose really) is more likely to turn into fats after dinner as you sleep for a great part of the time after dinner (as compared to lunch that is) At night, glucose usage is low, therefore more excess glucose= convert to fats. therefore i prefer to stick to a no carboh dinner everyday (until the weekends that is ;) )

Note: DO NOT attempt to skip carboh all together from your diet. this might cause your body functions have problems. every human body NEEDS carbohydrates!!

The tough part is in the motivation (to really go onto the track and jog) and the preserverance (to stick to the non-carboh dinners)

PS if any doctor here reads this and finds this hazardous do reply in case it really is. Also to the asker, if you are on long term medication or aren't exactly the normal healthy human being (maybe you tend to lack a certain component in your diet etc..) then do consult someone professional before you embark on this.

You do not want to try that, unless you weigh over 300 pounds.. However, there are some simple things you can do to lose weight properly.. Eat smaller meals, about 5-7 times a day.. Do some light weight training 3 times a week.. Also, try running as soon as you wake up for about 30 mins 3 times a week.. You will regret trying to lose that much weight, especially at your age.. You will probably get sick..

It's not good to lose weight so fast...rememeber ..losing wt so fast will also make you gain it just as fast. so losing weight slowly is the best way to keep it off.

you should really lose about 2 pounds a week ifyou work out 5 days a week. do 3 days of cardio for 1 hr and 2 days of cardio for 1/2 hr and 1/2 hr of weights.

and eat a healthy diet. give up sugars, fruit juices, oily, fried things. just eat lean meats, vegetables, fruits and nuts...

Um, get real? That's REALLY unhealthy unless you are severly overweight.

IF you want to lose a few pounds the healthy way, check out weight watchers. They have an online program so you don't need to go to meetings. Also, start exercising daily.

Get your head checked. It is unhealthy to lose that much weight that fast. Also, at your age, I would be surprised if you need to lose any weight at all. What is your height and weight?

Work out, control yourself. Try to have fruits and vegetables. don't eat carbohydrates (rice, bread, potatoes, pasta...) if you don't want to work out.

drink a lot of water
