Because our world is filled with violence. These texts are only telling us the history. Unfortunately, religion is something that has spawned violence throughout history. The only other thing that has started so many wars is greed.

I will only refer to the bible, it is filled with violence because it is an accurate account of history. Like wise with the prophets and kings in the bible, it accounts for their mistakes and their glories. I am not sure of any other historical book that does that. Most kings do not account for their faults or allow their faults be penned.
As far as human rights go, the bible had very strict laws that govern the behavior of how the nation of Israel should behave. This I'm sure you know children should honor their parents, and like wise parents should not harp/harm their children. a big prob. in our society right now, also the Husband having respect for his wife, and the issue of divorce. Actually the rights of person in a domestic sense are more violated and go un punished now than back then. Many other laws that were in put in place by God so that persons both Israelites and other nations could be treated fairly.

Hey Rashid, I suspect you are probably Iranian and also a Muslim? regardless, all the violence you see in the world today and in the past stems from man's "original Sin". Sin entered the world when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate of the forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden. Prior to that there was no sin no death and man had spiritual harmony with the Lord. It was Satan who tempted Eve by saying"You won't surely die" "You will become as knowledgeable as God" if you eat this fruit, lies, lies lies! So since then sin entered the world and thus we have what you see today. Man is now at enmity with God. I must say however the Christian faith does not promote or condone violence whereas in the Koran a Muslim is well within his rights to eliminate others who are not Muslim, they are looked upon as "Infidels" or enemies of Allah thus okay to slaughter them! No as long as those kind of things are taught and practised this is what you get. You will never see perfect peace on earth until Christ returns to earth and sets up His Millennium Kingdom where He will reign for 1000 years showing man how to live in perfect peace. Unfortunately at the end of the 1000 years Satan will once again be loosed for a short spell to show once again how the hearts of Man are evil and desperately wicked and the only hope lies in the Lord Jesus Christ. Hope this sheds some light on your question.

Because the world is a violent place. And if not for rules, and those rules being enforced. We would all have killed each other by now.
This is the reality. And it's going to get worse.
Humans have an evil nature. The body being selfish and fearful
for itself. This is the cause of wars, and self-destruction.

A good deal of these books are descriptive (they tell a story) instead of prescriptive (they dictate law). Violence usually arises as a result, or as the cause of, the wrath of G-d, and these stories usually have a lesson (namely, not to anger G-d!). If you look at the prescriptive material, there is little, if any, violence involved.

As far as the Qur'an is concerned, you need to understand in which context the verses were revealed. Anything taken out of context won't help. Though most of the time context is clear and you don't need to read anything extra, but sometimes prejudice does take over.

No, there's enough violence in the world without adding religious persecution/bigotry to the mix.
