We have a 20 month old son. My husband has made a lot this year but he is currently unemployed and we are broke.

yes sounds like you qualify for food stamps right now too. I would not wait cause sounds like you need them . Get down there and get what you need. Because in today's economy could be quite a while before husband gets another job also he should apply for unemployment. Of course that will cut you off some other programs but what ever you need what you need.

yes you can. i live in PA and lost a good job and my fiance has two children. she signed up right away , we got it. WIC is easier to get. Food stamps are a pain, but you sign up and can qualify for food and car repair.

wic is not income based and it is a very good program for children. good luck with it

It may depend on your income and probably your income the last few months. You should certainly try. That kind of situation is exactly what welfare is for. Also, have you applied for unemployment?
