Sweetheart, in this day and age I don't think it matters one bit so long as you have the rings, wear them with pride, and understand what they are there for.

Your rings do not have to match exactly. What you could do is use the same metal for both rings. For example, my engagement ring is yellow gold. My fiance wants a white gold wedding band so for my wedding band I am gonna wear a ring that is two toned gold: the outside is yellow gold to match my engagement ring and the center portion is white gold to match my fiance's wedding band. As long as you are happy with them, that is all that matters.

There is no hard rule about weddings. Its the day for you and your bride. You make it the way you want. If your rings don't match - it doesn't mean you don't love each other - you're still legally married. If you would like your rings to match, maybe you can find a design that uses both white and yellow gold.

My e-ring and wedding band are 14K yellow gold. White gold just doesnt look right on me. Trust me...
Anyway, my husband's ring is white gold. I let him pick out whatever he wanted. The color of the rings really dont matter at all. We have totally different tastes anyway and wouldn't have been able to agree on a matching set.

My hubby has a plain 10-mm wide white gold band. I have a white-gold band with channel set diamonds, and an engagement ring. Jewelers are the ones that push the "matched sets", you can do whatever you like.

I believe your rings are a symbol of a promise to God about your union. Some people think that God requires sacrifice, which could be the most well-crafted rings and only the finest cut of diamond. I don't know what God wants, but I get the feeling that your love should be sufficient. I still believe that marriage is not just a legal procedure but a blessing and a sacrement. Do what you think God would want you to do.

yes. We don't have to follow every1 practice. too old fashion aready.(i dont think the groom will wear a 1carat diamond ring right. Shud save for the bride isnt it. hahha) But at least some craving on the ring like date & both party name, good enough. As long as they heart is together. it does not matter on jewelry..

I think that she should have a white gold band....no one wears gold anymore. Maybe you can get her a ring with both gold and white gold in it.....I think they should match but I also think that white gold looks much more elegant!

No, they do not have to match. But keep in mind that white gold rings need to be replated every few years.

Yep, my partner is allergic to gold and silver doesn't suit me. Our rings are opposite and it has absolutely no effect on our feelings towards one another or our marriage!
