It sounds like my kitchen. I'm going to use a sort of buttery yellow and then have one green wall as an accent. But sort of a muted green. I'm not sure what village green is. Good luck.
I've been going back and forth between a sort of tuscan orange and a gold or yellow. Warm collors do tend to stimulate the appetite more, but I think the medium oak is probably warm enough. In my case the lighting is bad, so I don't want to go too dark. Consider your lighting too.

Seems like you have lots of green already in the dining room. what about pulling in the mauve color from the dining room and adding a nice dark burgandy with that?? So, you would have the colors of mauve, burgandy and cream/tan. I think that would give a nice vintage look and gives you alot of options for buying things to match. You could go for a modern look with those colors or a vintage victorian look. Good Luck.

I am getting ready to do my kitchen in a medium green, I have oak cabinets. The curtains I will putting up are white trimmed in green and have apples on them. I have a few other apple things in the kitchen too, clock apple design on toaster and blender covers, etc. Hope this helps with the ideas.

I would say that green color is In this season and it does look really pretty!! Also another thing is people are painting one wall a darker color and than another wall in the same room a lighter color. It does look really nice when it is all done!! Good Luck!!

There is so many color choices out there that it is hard to decide on one! This site helped me figure out what would work best in my kitchen. http://www.kitchen-cabinets-design.com/kitchencolorschemes.html
You really just have to decide what makes you happy and what color you want to look at day after day.

Something that is mood swinging, i don't like bright, more of a pastel that enlightens the atmosphere without being overbearing, good luck

I've always liked a yellow kitchen. It would work well with what you have described.
